Lori
Lori completed her masters in clinical mental health counseling at Southern New Hampshire University. With a prior masters in forensic psychology, and a background working with youth in various capacities, Lori’s studies began focused on assisting juvenile offenders, but quickly realized families not involved with the legal system needed help, too. Lori expanded her studies to center on individual and family therapy with a focus on children, adolescents, young adults, and emerging adults.
Lori has worked with children and families for over 3 decades as an educator, mentor, athletic instructor, coach, and in the community. She utilizes an integrated approach to therapy with a CBT foundation. Rooted in the humanistic, Lori has her foundation in a person-centered approach with Adlerian and existentialistic influences.
Lori believes healing and personal growth are fostered when individuals feel seen, valued, and treated as unique individuals with personal goals.
“You have the potential to find the answers you seek when given a supportive sounding board and a safe space to unpack things. We each have the necessary resources within ourselves to manage our own issues, but sometimes we need a bit of support. Let me help you tap into those resources so you are empowered to be the captain of your own ship!”
